The BMW i8 Roadster made its world debut during the 2017 LA Auto Show which began November 29. The BMW i8 Roadster promises to be an exciting, stylish bit of cutting edge technology – it is realized from BMW’s Spyder Concept, which is an open-topped, two-seat, carbon fiber car with elegant curves.

The Roadster will also debut with an all-new color, “Electric Copper”, and feature a soft top.  The Roadster is a plug-in hybrid that is designed to hold twice the battery capacity of the i8 Coupe in order to deliver a much longer all-electric driving range.  In addition, unnamed sources claim the i8 Roadster is built upon an all-new chassis and boasts an increase of power up to 400HP, along with impressive updates to the iDrive system and a full suite of driver-assist systems.

Details will likely continue to leak as we near the show, so stay tuned!
