The BMW Group proudly reported record sales in May 2016 – the best ever May in the history of the company in terms of sales volume. A total of almost 200,000 vehicles were sold, which overtook their all-time record for May sales by 5.3%.

“Our sales continue to show sustainable growth, well in line with our expectations,” said Dr Ian Robertson, a Sales and Marketing BMW executive. “Our target is to ensure profitable growth in sales and thanks to our attractive model line-up, that’s what we are achieving,”

Sales for all BMW vehicles through May totaled 935,268, thanks to strong sales of the award-laden BMW 3 Series, the all-new BMW 2 Series, BMW X1 and the new BMW X4 SAV. The BMW 7 Series also contributed to the success, as well as BMW’s recently introduced plug-in hybrids, such as the BMW 330e iPerformance which was introduced to the European market in March.
